How do i make my first scrapbook?
I just had my first baby and want to start scrapbooking. I've collected pictures and written down information from the pregnancy and birth. What kind of supplies do I need to get started without spending a lot of money?
First you should decide if you want to do it traditionally with paper and/or embellishments or digitally (on your computer) or both. I can help with both. You can email with any questions. Just know you are much farther ahead than most people already!

Hobby Lobby has good prices. You will need an album, cardstock and a good paper trimmer. Archiver's scrapbooking store offers free beginner scrapbooking lessons.
check out your library for scrapbooking books. Mine has a lot, some just for a baby book.

Go to Michael's or other local craft stores. I would suggest the following for must haves:
1. a scrapbook (standard size: 12 x 12);
2. scrapbook pages (colorful ones and themes);
3. gluesticks, stickers, scisscors, colorful pens;
4. any other embellishment you want and can afford.

You will need a photo album, plenty of paper and other
accessories to go along with the photos. Michael's
and Hobby Lobby have scrap booking departments.
Michael's will occasionally have lessons on scrap booking.
Find out when they are planning on holding one of these lessons. http://www.scrappersalley.com/
This web link is to a favorite site on scrap booking
supplies. I have ordered from them many times.
Hope this helps.

Consider going to any craft stores or any store that has a scrapbooking section (WalMart, Target, Hobby Lobby, A.C. Moore, JoAnn's, Michael's, etc….). As this is your first scrapbooking endeavor, consider buying a scrapbook kit specifically for new baby. There is alot to choose from.
Additionally, a kit (for a single price) contains everything you'll need to successfully complete your project. It's a good way to begin this hobby, then you can advance from there.
If you go to Joanns or Michael's, consider using coupons (usually in the Sunday papers of through their mailers). It varies between 40 or 50% off.
Hope this helps, and good luck on your new project(s)!
